i really enjoyed all my classmates presentations of their mini lessons. i have seen a great improvement in the level of confidence among my classmates. It is a learning experience for all of us and whatever mistakes that we made, we did it at the right place, so we can correct them before it is to late. I learnt a lot from my the lessons and took notes of the strengthens and weakness mentioned by our lecture and classmates. Thank you very much for the encouragement and criticisms which makes us better and effective teachers.

I would like to state that I was quite surprised, when niki said that she had not taught before. This is because she was well composed and collected and show that she could control her classroom. I found the clapping technique quite effective and I plan on using it on teaching pratice. I found that the lessons taught by the various groups were very student friendly and interactive. Students did their best to teach the concepts that were being introduced by using appropriate strategies. On my part I was a little nervous and as a result, I forgot some of what I planned to say. However I found that Cyana and I did well enough. The lesson was well planned, we made use of concrete materials and semi-concrete materials, had lots of activites and tried our best to engage students' interest. On the other hand, I felt that the relia could have been better utilized. I could have asked the students to point out the spores in the ferns, to identify the moss and to point out the difference between the various plants. Our questioning skills was also weak and I plan to work hard in that area.

It is such a wonderful thing to sit back and reflect on the lessons taught as a way to improve our future practice. I feel good knowing that you have built your confidence over the semester (s) and that you found the exercise useful in helping you grow professionally. Yes, Like the others have noted, I was indeed impressed with the manner in which you were able to apply and adapt the various strategies to suit your purpose and context.
I hope that you will remember and apply all these wonderful things you do while in training when you go back to the classroom. We will surely get to do more of this next semester.

The micro teaching exercise was a learning experience for everyone. I learned how easy it is to incorporate the different strategies in the lessons. I got a lot of ideas for class activities which i intend to use during teaching practice. Overall, I enjoyed this exercise. Having our class mates to assess our lessons was a great idea. Their feedback was appreciated. However, it would have been better to video taped the lessons. That way, we could see ourselves in action. It will be easy for us to assess ourselves and make a note of our weak points. Next time.

I quite agree with my fellow classmates that we all did a very good job with the micro teaching. The lessons were student centred and showed alot of creativity. Like others, I want to say that I am happy with the level of participation and support given by classmates, to everyone during their lessons.
My group did well but of course there is always room for improvement. Some of our weaknesses were that we needed to use more effective questioning strategies, give students an opportunity to ask questions and we did not explain the writing strategy properly to the students.
This teaching experience has been beneficial to me and I learned alot from it. I want to commend Niki and Phia for a job well done. I am so proud of you two. And to eveyone...... Keep it guys!!!!!!
